CareerBuilder.com Announces New Application “Jobs” for Apple App Store

- Find Your Next Job From Wherever You Are at the Moment -

CHICAGO, July 10, 2008 - CareerBuilder.com today announced that its new iPhone application "Jobs" - which enables you to search for a new job on the go - will be available on the Apple App Store for free at launch today. Using the iPhone's built-in geolocation technology, the CareerBuilder.com application automatically determines the city you are standing in and then allows you to find a job using a simple keyword search. Within moments, you receive a list of all applicable jobs nearby.

"CareerBuilder.com is constantly exploring new ways to reach the widest possible audience and is excited to be launching an application on the Apple App Store," said Richard Castellini, Vice President of Consumer Marketing at CareerBuilder.com. "Giving iPhone and iPod Touch users the ability to search for jobs on the go adds a whole new level of convenience and accessibility to job hunting and is far more sophisticated than just connecting to a typical Web site from your cell phone."

Utilizing CareerBuilder.com’s enormous database of over 1.6 million jobs, the new application "Jobs" will immediately send users details of nearby available jobs, allow them to be saved as favorites, and then email users a reminder to apply later if they do not do so right away.

"CareerBuilder.com and Wieden+Kennedy collaborated on this job search application to tap into the potential of this widely anticipated and talked about iPhone OS platform," said Marcelino Alvarez, Wieden+Kennedy's Executive Interactive Producer. "The CareerBuilder iPhone application streamlines the process of applying to a job and invites users to job-hunt just as easily as checking weather, stocks or email from their phone."
