CareerBuilder.com Rated No. 1 For Helping Seekers Find Jobs

Job Search and E-mail Alert Tools Also Get Top Rating in Comprehensive Review by the Authors of CareerXroads

RESTON, Va., June 25 /PRNewswire/ -- CareerBuilder(R) is the No. 1 ranked career site for helping candidates find jobs, according to a comprehensive report released today by the authors of CareerXroads 2001, a leading directory of job, resume and career management tools on the Web. The report, Career Hubs: What Makes Them Tick?, is available on http://www.careerxoads.com and at CareerBuilder's booth at the Society for Human Resource Management Conference & Exposition in San Francisco.

"Finding a job with CareerBuilder is as easy as it gets," according to the review of the top players in the online recruitment industry -- including CareerBuilder, Headhunter, HotJobs and Monster. The report highlights that careerbuilder.com's Quick Search(TM) and Mega Job Search(TM) technologies "extend the site's capabilities beyond its competitors." CareerBuilder's Mega Job Search gives job seekers the power to search more than 70 of the best career sites on the Web.

The review was conducted by Gerry Crispin and Mark Mehler, the internationally acclaimed authors of CareerXroads and consultants with the MMC Group. The duo, leading opinion makers on behalf of job seekers and human resource professionals, is speaking at the SHRM conference on Monday, June 25, 10:45 a.m. and 2 p.m., at San Francisco's Moscone Convention Center.

"The CareerXroads review is great testimony to CareerBuilder's products and services, especially the most important function of all -- getting people to the right jobs," said Rob McGovern, chairman and CEO of CareerBuilder. "Every day, more and more job seekers are turning to CareerBuilder to find the right job."

CareerBuilder is also ranked No. 1 in the report for features allowing job seekers to receive daily or weekly e-mail notification on jobs of interest. "In a marketplace that is being revolutionized by today's active and silent job seekers, CareerBuilder provides the online recruitment industry's most helpful and comprehensive Personal Search Agent(TM) service," McGovern said.

Through my careerbuilder(TM), job seekers can establish as many as five different Personal Search Agents (PSAs) built around job interests, locations and site combinations.

CareerBuilder and Monster.com ranked tops for first impressions. "Both Monster and CareerBuilder engage the visitor and move them to take actions," according to the CareerXroads review. "CareerBuilder is designed to flow more logically..." Overall, the report said, "Monster.com and CareerBuilder represent greater ability to provide a broader range of content and service to the job seeker."

"Clearly, the market has evolved into a two-horse race between CareerBuilder and Monster," McGovern said. "We believe this signals the beginning of the end for many of the next-tier players."

In other recent online recruitment reviews, CareerBuilder received the top rating in an independent analysis conducted by TechTV and received top mention in Forbes.
