CareerBuilder.com, Orbitz.com and Palace Resorts Host Dream Vacation Sweepstakes

CHICAGO, June 21, 2006 – CareerBuilder.com, Orbitz and Palace Resorts are helping human resource professionals and hiring managers escape from the daily grind at the office with CareerBuilder.com's first ever Dream Vacation Sweepstakes. Between June 22 and August 26, 2006, every job posting by participating employers will count as an entry into the sweepstakes. Prizes include a 7-night / 8-day trip to an all-inclusive tropical resort, and six additional airfare prizes to almost anywhere in the U.S. All employers are eligible to participate and should enroll at www.careerbuilder.com/dreamvacation. After enrolling; employers, recruiters and other human resource professionals need to post jobs (www.careerbuilder.com/jobposter/products/postjobsinfo.aspx) to get entries into the sweepstakes.

Winners will be randomly selected on September 9, 2006. Dream Vacation Sweepstakes prizes include:

  • Grand Prize - Tropical vacation for two, including hotel, meals and drinks by Palace Resorts, and round-trip airfare from Orbitz
  • Second Prize - Two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, from Orbitz
  • Third Prize - Two round trip airline tickets to anywhere in the 48 Contiguous U.S. from Orbitz

For the grand prize, Palace Resorts is providing all-inclusive accommodations at any of their resorts in Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cozumel and Nuevo Vallarta (excluding the adult's only Le Blanc Spa Resort in Cancun). The travel dates for redemption will be from September 15, 2006 to December 15, 2006 and from January 15, 2007 to August 31, 2007.

In addition to the round-trip airfare to the Caribbean or Mexican Pacific coast as the grand prize, Orbitz will be providing three sets of round-trip tickets to anywhere in the U.S., including Hawaii and Alaska, and three sets of round-trip tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S. for second and third place winners.

“More than half of hiring managers surveyed by CareerBuilder.com report they work under a great deal of stress, and 80 percent say they feel burned out on the job,” said Jason Lovelace, Vice President of Corporate Marketing at CareerBuilder.com. “The Dream Vacation Sweepstakes provides an opportunity for those recruiting for their companies to get away and recharge in fun, exciting destinations.”
