Citysearch and CareerBuilder to Launch Revamped Local Career Center
Leading Local Network of City Guides Selects CareerBuilder to Power Career Center
CHICAGO and LOS ANGELES, May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- CareerBuilder, the
industry's most complete online recruitment source for efficiently finding
better candidates and jobs, and Citysearch, a leading local network and one of
the core businesses operated by Ticketmaster, today announced an agreement to
launch a local career center on Citysearch.
"Citysearch's strong, active user base is a testament to the fact that we
have stayed the course to deliver local information that helps people save
time and money," said Briggs Ferguson, president of Citysearch. "Our
agreement with CareerBuilder will provide our users with a comprehensive
employment resource of available local job listings and help us provide
employers an active pool of more than seven million potential job candidates."
Integrating CareerBuilder's content within Citysearch's framework will
place highly localized career content at the fingertips of one of the Web's
most localized audiences. This is expected to deliver an assortment of
opportunities to job seekers in virtually every major metropolitan area in the
United States, making Citysearch an important local online employment solution
for both job seekers and employers. The Citysearch career center is scheduled
to go live in early June 2002, offering Citysearch's more than seven million
monthly unique users access to 300,000 plus job listings.
"CareerBuilder's strategic relationship with Citysearch will significantly
expand the CareerBuilder network and give employers and job seekers greater
control over the depth and breadth of talent and job searches," said Bob
Montgomery, CEO of CareerBuilder. "Being the best national job site, means
providing employers with access to a large user base full of potential
