CareerBuilder.com Powers Bilingual Online Career Center at YupiMSN

YupiMSN Empleos to Serve the One-Third of U.S. Hispanics Who Are Online User

CHICAGO, May 20, 2003 - CareerBuilder.com, the smarter recruitment resource for finding better candidates and jobs, announced it is operating the recently unveiled YupiMSN Empleos, a bilingual career center at YupiMSN. YupiMSN is the part of the MSN global network of Internet sites that delivers Spanish-language content and services to the United States and Latin America.

More than 12 million Hispanics use the Internet in the U.S., representing about one-third of the U.S. Hispanic population, according to a March 2003 comScore Networks report. Hispanic online users can now view more than 400,000 job postings from 25,000 of the nation's top companies in Spanish through the CareerBuilder.com section at YupiMSN.

"We are excited to join forces with YupiMSN," said Amado Izaguirre, vice president of Business Development for CareerBuilder.com. "Hispanics have one of the fastest growing populations in the U.S., and are relying more and more on the Internet for the latest news and employment information. This relationship provides one place where users can access this information in Spanish while tapping into popular products from MSN and CareerBuilder.com."

Viewers at YupiMSN Empleos can take advantage of CareerBuilder.com's smart online products such as the confidential Personal Search Agent that hunts for job opportunities in expressed areas of interest and automatically emails them to job seekers. Also available is CareerBuilder.com's skilled and hourly product, which enables workers to apply for hourly jobs by indicating their work preferences, education and experience. Interested employers simply review the applications and contact qualified candidates. In addition, the site gives job seekers the choice to search by industry, location and job type, and provides online career assessments, coaching for interviews and tips for salary negotiations. CareerBuilder.com also offers easy job postings, online career fairs and a fresh resume database.

"YupiMSN and CareerBuilder.com are both in the business of bringing people together and providing more useful tools to our users every day," said Jacqueline O'Brien, director of Marketing for YupiMSN. "YupiMSN's network of Spanish-speaking sites serves as a nationwide online Hispanic community. CareerBuilder.com's network of national and niche sites puts millions of job seekers in touch with leading companies. Together, our sites provide a smarter way for Hispanic companies and candidates to find one another."

CareerBuilder.com combines the distribution power of online and print with the 130 newspapers of partners Gannett Co., Tribune Company and Knight Ridder to help join job seekers with employers. YupiMSN provides a means for Hispanics across the country to connect through popular communities such as CiudadFutura.com and MujerFutura.com as well as MSN Hotmail, MSN Messenger Service and MSN Search.
