Webhire Partners with CareerBuilder.com to Offer New Integrated Solutions For Recruiters And Candidates

New Partnership Combines the Power of Webhire's Talent Management Solutions with The Nation's Most Extensive Online Job Site

Lexington, MA, October 19, 2005 - Webhire, Inc., a leader in talent management solutions, today announced a new partnership with CareerBuilder.com, the nation’s largest online job site with more than 20 million unique visitors and over 1 million jobs. For Webhire customers, the partnership provides an integrated solution for sourcing talent from the CareerBuilder.com database. For job candidates, the partnership streamlines the application process by allowing them to use their existing resume to apply for jobs on Webhire-hosted career sites.

Concentra Inc, a national leader in cost containment and case management services, relies on both Webhire and CareerBuilder.com for its talent management needs. "We are very excited about the partnership between these two industry leaders," said Charlie Zinger, Vice President of Employment Services at Concentra. "We anticipate that the combined functionality and depth of resources will improve the productivity of our recruiters and streamline the process for job applicants, reducing the opportunity for candidate drop-off and manual errors."

With this integrated solution, Webhire customers will have the opportunity to search the CareerBuilder.com resume database through the Webhire Recruiter interface. Recruiters can automatically import resumes to their Webhire candidate database and track and report on the source. Additionally, the integration improves the application process for candidates, allowing them to use existing CareerBuilder.com resumes and profiles to apply for jobs on Webhire customers’ career sites.

"More than one-third of hiring managers recently surveyed by CareerBuilder.com said they are having difficulty finding qualified candidates. Nearly one-in-four said it takes them two months or longer to fill their open positions," said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder.com. "The partnership between Webhire and CareerBuilder.com is designed to streamline the talent sourcing process, improving recruiter efficiency and the overall user experience."

The partnership with CareerBuilder.com directly supports Webhire’s belief that the future of talent management lies in the ability to strategically manage the entire employment life cycle; from initial attraction through sourcing and selection techniques, to delivering effective hires through a positive, meaningful candidate relationship, continuing through employee retention. This partnership gives companies of all sizes a set of powerful tools for sourcing and selecting more qualified candidates, and supports the ability to hire, promote and develop better employees for the long term.

"In listening to our customers, we’ve found there is an acute need for tools and technologies to enable recruiters to more effectively connect with qualified candidates," said Susanne Bowen, Chairman and CEO of Webhire. "By partnering with CareerBuilder.com, we are providing Webhire customers with direct access to one of the leading online recruiting resources available today, giving them the tools they need to improve quality of hire and maximize productivity."
