The Wrigley Field public address announcer serves as the voice of the Chicago Cubs during home games and special events at the ballpark. The public address announcer will work closely with the Chicago Cubs Marketing and Media Departments to create a memorable experience for guests at Wrigley Field. This person is responsible for announcing game day starting lineups, in-game announcements, public address announcements, special presentations, sponsorship sales concepts and other required reads.
Candidates should possess strong vocal talent, skilled readership and a deep knowledge of baseball, as they’ll be responsible for enhancing the fan experience for every at-bat, inning and game throughout the season. Candidates must be comfortable announcing to sold-out crowds and proficient at enunciating complex player names. The public address announcer must be available for all Chicago Cubs home games, pre-game and non-game day special events. Prior experience working as a public address announcer in collegiate or professional sports, in television or radio is preferred, however candidates of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for this position.
