CareerBuilder.com Powers New Online Job Search Center for Boulder Daily Camera

Extends Partnership with the E.W. Scripps Company

CHICAGO, July 26, 2005 - CareerBuilder.com, the nation’s largest online job site with more than 20 million* unique visitors and over 1 million jobs, announced it is now powering the online job search center for the Boulder Daily Camera (www.dailycamera.com), one of 21 daily newspapers owned by The E.W. Scripps Company.

The Daily Camera, a daily publication covering Boulder County, Colo., is the second Scripps paper to join the CareerBuilder.com network. CareerBuilder.com’s partnership with Scripps began when it was selected to power the online job search center for the Memphis Commercial Appeal earlier this year.

The E.W. Scripps Company is a diversified media concern with interests in newspapers, broadcast television stations, national lifestyle television networks, television commerce, interactive media and licensing and syndication. Scripps newspapers are read by nearly 1.4 million Americans, making the company the ninth largest newspaper publisher in the United States.

"The E.W. Scripps Company is pleased to expand our partnership with CareerBuilder.com," said Vikki Neil, Director of Online Sales and Marketing for Scripps Newspapers. "Visitors to the Daily Camera’s Web site can check out new career opportunities from over 30,000 employers in the same place they get the latest news and information."

CareerBuilder.com is the leader in the online recruitment industry with the most traffic and jobs, according to reports from comScore Media Metrix and Corzen. The company powers the online job search centers for over 650 partners, including 165-plus newspapers, MSN and America Online.

"Extending our job distribution network through key partnerships with companies such as The E.W. Scripps Company brings more resources to employers and job seekers alike," said Brent Rasmussen, Senior Vice President of Sales at CareerBuilder.com. "Job seekers can apply in real time and employers can cut down on their time-to-hire."

Job seekers visiting the job search center at the Daily Camera can look for jobs by industry, location and job type; conduct advanced searches with multiple criteria; post up to five different resumes and have jobs that match their job search criteria automatically emailed to them.

*comScore Media Metrix, March 2005. The CareerBuilder Network is a custom aggregation of CareerBuilder.com traffic as well as job search traffic to career centers CareerBuilder powers for partner sites such as Tribune Company, Gannett, Knight Ridder and others.
