CareerBuilder.com Launches New Resume Database Web Service for Employers
CHICAGO, July 13, 2004 - CareerBuilder.com, the nation’s largest online job network with more than 16 million unique visitors* and over 500,000 jobs, announced the launch of its new Resume Database Web Service. Through this service, employers can search through CareerBuilder.com’s database of more than 9 million resumes using their own Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to optimize efficiencies and customize results.
The new Resume Database Web Service streamlines technology on the backend to enable employers to bypass the CareerBuilder.com Web Site and view prospective candidates through their preferred ATS. Employers can then export industry-standard XML data directly to their ATS or create custom reports in MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel or any other XML program based on company needs.
"CareerBuilder.com receives 15,000 new resumes daily from candidates seeking salaried and hourly positions from the executive to entry-level," said Will Emmons,Vice President of Corporate Marketing for CareerBuilder.com. "Our new Resume Database Web Service further simplifies and speeds the process for employers to access new talent. Companies can use any operating system they choose and, because the data is industry-standard XML, it can be easily transformed into a time-saving format."
The launch of the product comes at a good time with 66 percent of hiring managers stating they plan to do the majority of their hiring in the latter half of 2004, according to a recent CareerBuilder.com survey.
To help employers target candidates with the most relevant skills and experience for their open positions, CareerBuilder.com offers employers a wide range of products and a vast distribution network.
