CareerBuilder.com Names Rosemary Haefner Vice President of Human Resources
CHICAGO, March 10, 2004 - CareerBuilder.com, a leading online career site with over 16 million unique visitors and more than 400,000 jobs, announced today that it has appointed Rosemary Haefner to the position of Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Haefner is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for employee relations, organizational design, benefits management, recruiting, talent retention and community outreach.

Haefner comes to CareerBuilder.com with an extensive background in Human Resources for technology-based businesses. Most recently, Haefner headed up the Midwest Region's Employee Services team for RCN Corporation, a provider of voice, data and cable services with over 3,000 employees. Prior to this, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for Agency.com, a professional interactive services company that grew rapidly to 1,500 employees in 13 offices worldwide after its merger with her previous employer Eagle River Interactive. In addition, Haefner spent several years as a Senior Human Resources Consultant for small to mid-sized companies at McGladrey & Pullen.
Haefner holds a bachelor's in political science from the University of Chicago and is certified by the Society for Human Resource Management as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She also holds a certification from Development Dimensions International as a facilitator for management development curriculum.
