CareerBuilder.com Names Knapp Vice President of Finance

CHICAGO, May 1, 2003 - CareerBuilder.com, the smarter recruitment resource for finding better candidates and jobs, announced today the appointment of Kevin Knapp as vice president of Finance. Knapp is responsible for CareerBuilder.com’s accounting and financial operations, including reporting, treasury, risk management, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.

Previously, Knapp served as vice president of Strategy and Operations for cars.com, where he successfully led the company’s business development activities. In this role, he researched and forged new business opportunities for the company and secured strategic acquisitions and alliances. He also drove efforts to redesign cars.com's primary operational processes, which significantly enhanced overall customer service and increased revenue. Before joining cars.com, Knapp managed assurance as well as mergers and acquisitions services for KPMG Peat Martwick.

Knapp is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.
