Prime Healthcare Foundation
The Prime Healthcare Foundation has given more than $2 billion in support of our communities.
The Prime Healthcare Foundation, headquartered in Ontario, California, is a 501(c)(3) public charity that owns fifteen not-for-profit community based hospitals.
The Foundation consists of over $1 billion in assets all donated by Dr. Prem Reddy and his family. The mission of the Prime Healthcare Foundation is to provide quality, compassionate healthcare for all, and serve communities through charitable and educational initiatives.
Annually, Prime Healthcare Foundation hospitals are recognized by the Leapfrog Group, Healthgrades, IBM Watson Health and more as clinically excellent healthcare providers. The Foundation owns these non-profit acute care hospitals to serve the needs of communities, providing millions of dollars in charity care.
With a commitment of $60 million, the Prime Healthcare Foundation funded the newest medical school in California, the “California University of Science and Medicine”, located in San Bernardino. The school welcomed it's first class of students in July 2018. The Foundation also supports additional community education programs and health-focused community charities.
The Foundation supports charitable causes including: Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Unforgettables Foundation, Venice Family Clinic, Westside Children’s Center, World Children’s Initiative, Project Heart Uganda, ONE Generation, Steven’s Hope for Children and many others.
