TP Mechanical Contractors approach to SAFETY

At TPMC, safety is a way of life. We approach safety with dedication to a safe and healthy workforce. We know that it takes teamwork, employee involvement and upper management commitment.

We do not tolerate loss of life. Our company’s safety philosophy is this: If management does not plan to prevent accidents, then they are planning to have them. Our message stresses the importance of life and the safety of others. Life is precious and it is our goal to send each of our employees home to their families every night without injury or illness.

TP Mechanical doesn’t believe in the word “accident” because accident implies “it just happened by mistake”. We use the word “incident” because there is always a reason or a cause for the occurrence. Our safety program consistently emphasizes prevention and avoidance of safety and health hazards.

Safety does not just “play a role” at our company, it is part of our company’s culture. Our employees see it, feel it, recognize it and live it every day as it is ingrained in them from the very first day they start as TP Mechanical employees. Safety at TP Mechanical is not just what is learned in books, it is part of our lives and it shows in our entire organization from the president down to the field workers.

Ultimately we are committed to safety because we do not tolerate loss of life. We want to protect our employees, customers, and partners; protect the public; and minimize future liabilities. We bring safety to our employee’s family, not to just the employee on our payroll. We believe there is no greater incentive than the one that allows an employee to perform his tasks in a safe manner allowing him or her to go home each night a safe and healthful worker.
