Overview

Celebrating its 100th year in 2019, Easterseals has been
helping people with disabilities gain greater independence. Our mission is to
provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or
special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work
and play in their communities.

Easterseals of Southeastern PA services include approved
private school, special classrooms, summer programs, assistive technology,
early intervention programs and various outpatient speech, physical and
occupational therapy programs. Children who receive these services are
challenged with a variety of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy,
down syndrome, spina bifida and physical and developmental delays.

We strive to hire those who are passionate about the
pediatric special needs population, have strong communications skills, enjoy a
team environment  and want to make a
difference in the lives of those they assist.

Funding for programs and services comes from a variety of
sources. Over $1 million of our annual operating budget comes from charitable
contributions with support coming from corporate and foundation grants,
individual gifts and special events.

Our locations include Philadelphia, Levittown, Media and
Kulpsville as well as itinerant positions in Chester, Berks, Northampton and
Lehigh Counties.

As of 12/31/19, all employees must have the following
required background checks in place prior to starting work: Federal Bureau of
Investigations (FBI) clearance issued under the Department of Human Services
(DHS); Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Criminal History Clearance; Pennsylvania
Child Abuse History Clearance; National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR)
Verification Certificate; those who have resided outside of Pennsylvania within
the previous five years of employment and/or still reside outside of
Pennsylvania must obtain a State criminal history check, State sex offender
registry check and State child abuse and neglect registry check from the
State(s) in which they resided; Act 168 forms. Health assessment, TB, and
mandated reporter training documentation are due within 30 days of hire.
